A Plymouth man is facing charges in connection with an armed robbery at a Corinna convenience store Friday morning.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 43-year-old Mark Dunlop was taken into custody at his home early Friday afternoon. He's accused of walking into the A.E. Robinson convenience store at around 2:30 Friday morning. Officials say the robber brandished a gun and demanded money, fleeing on foot when the clerk ran into the office after refusing to hand over any cash.

Dunlop was charged with robbery and transported to the Penobscot County Jail. Troopers say the Somerset County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation, along with the Warden Service, and members of the Dexter and Newport Police Departments.
