form of a tax bill of up to $9000. That’s based on the $25,000 bonus each athlete receives from the US Olympic Committee-and depends on each athlete’s individual tax bracket. Critics of the US tax policy say based on Michael Phelps 19 Olympic medals…he owes the government about $150,000 – for representing America!! Now Senator Marco Rubio has introduced a bill waiving taxes of Olympic bonuses.
