New York Woman Charged in Maine Murder

A New York woman faces a felony murder charge related to the October 2020 death of a man in Winthrop.

Kiera Francis, 28, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested in Waterville. She was the passenger in a vehicle police were attempting to stop so detectives could take Francis into custody. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop for Waterville officers.

Francis is charged in the death of Joshua Martin, 30, also of New York. He was shot to death at a Winthrop residence.

The investigation is continuing.
