New York Police Say Homicide Suspect May Be in Maine
New York City Police are advising state authorities that a murder suspect may be hiding in Maine.
According to News 12 the Bronx, 23-year-old Keron Codd is wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery/homicide. The victim told police he was sitting in his car last March when a man opened the door, pointed a gun at him, and demanded that he hand over his ring. Jansy Amparo was shot in the shoulder during that encounter and died of his injuries a day later.
Codd is described as a 5'8" black man, who goes by the street name 'Gucci.' Because a gun was used in the crime, police say they consider him armed and dangerous. WGME-TV reports NYPD now believe Codd may be in Maine, possibly in the greater Portland area. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
