Crews from more than 20 towns spent the night battling a massive fire at a Corinth pellet mill.

The original call was received at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a fire at the Corinth Wood Pellet Manufacturing facility on Hob Road. Fire crews from multiple towns responded and found flames shooting through the roof.

While there are no reports of injuries in the fire, Corinth's fire chief was taken to the hospital for treatment of heat exhaustion. Hob Road and a portion of Route 15 were shut down,so crews could truck in water.

WVII-TV reports fire officials believe it was a machinery malfunction that sparked the blaze. The State Fire Marshal's Office will investigate.
