One person received minor injuries when a school bus struck a car after failing to stop at a stop sign.

The accident  happened at around 7:45 this morning in the town of Lebanon. State Police say the bus, driven by 80-year-old Roberta Sanborn of Lebanon, didn't come to a complete stop at an intersection on Center Road and drove into the path of a Subaru Impreza. The only student on the bus was a 9-year-old boy who was accompanied by an adult assistant. They were not injured in the crash.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old John Izzarelli of Lebanon, was taken to Goodall Hospital in Sanford with minor injuries. Damage to the bus was minor and limited to the front end. The car sustained more serious damage. So far, the bus driver has not been cited.
