It’s always refreshing to see when artists who tour together genuinely ‘get along,’ and aren’t just pretending for the cameras or the crowd. By all accounts, Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney have formed a real friendship during their Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour, and we’re absolutely here for it.

‘You Had To Be There’ by Megan Moroney featuring Kenny Chesney is scheduled to be released next Friday, May 9th.
The duet was announced on Moroney’s social media pages on Wednesday, April 30th, along with a teaser clip for the song.
Kenny Chesney’s Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour was packed with massive stadium shows, including three nights at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
That’s why it was so refreshing to see him return to Bangor’s Maine Savings Amphitheater on Thursday, August 15th, especially with Megan Moroney as his opening act. The two shared moments from their time here in Maine on social media and delivered an unforgettable show to a packed crowd along the Bangor Waterfront—really, ‘You Had To Be There.’
And there you have it—coming May 9th, Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney will officially release their new song, "You Had To Be There."
