She was to open for Sugarland in Bangor last summer, then embark on solo dates.

Mary Chapin Carpenter scrapped tour plans for 2020 due to COVID-19. The "Passionate Kisses" singer had four dates in Maine back in August. After she was to open for Sugarland in Bangor, she had two dates at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Aug. 11 and 12, followed by a gig in Portland, Aug. 14, at the State Theatre.

What we know now is Carpenter has scrapped her Portland gig entirely. Her shows at Stone Mountain Arts Center are still yet to be determined, but the venue says the shows are looking like August 2021 gigs. We'll keep you posted.

All of the dates have been removed from her website, saying she's trying to "reschedule as many headline shows as possible, and ticket holders will receive notice directly from their place of purchase."
