She was to open for Sugarland in Bangor, then embark on solo dates.

Mary Chapin Carpenter has scrapped tour plans for 2020. The "Passionate Kisses" singer had four dates in Maine coming up in August. After opening for Sugarland in Bangor, she had two dates at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Aug. 11 and 12, followed by a gig in Portland, Aug. 14, at the State Theatre.

All of the dates have been removed from her website, saying she's trying to "reschedule as many headline shows as possible, and ticket holders will receive notice directly from their place of purchase."

As of this week, all of the country shows scheduled for Bangor's Darling's Waterfront Pavilion have been canceled or postponed.
