Maine Sex Offender Charged In Connection With 1986 Rape, Murder

A registered sex offender living in Stetson has been arrested in connection with the 1986 rape and murder of an 11-year-old Connecticut girl.

Marc Karun, 53, was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge, according to WABI.

The victim of the 1986 crime was raped and murdered on school grounds in Norwalk, Connecticut, according to the report.

Karun was convicted of a sexual assault in Connecticut in 1989, and served 10 years in prison, according to Maine's sex offender registry.
