MWTW Meteorologist Ted McInerney's recent weather forecast video has everyone going "awwwwww" after he shared an endearing behind-the-scenes moment with his son. The video, which McInerney posted on Twitter, showed him giving a forecast with his son clinging onto his leg, just out of the frame. McInerney captioned the post with the words, "What you couldn't see on air......My son didn't want to let go. It's adorable."

The meteorologist admitted that while his heart was melting watching the video back, he was terrified at the time, worrying that his son would have a “meltdown” during the broadcast.

Interestingly, the day before McInerney's video was posted, on April 27th, the United States celebrated Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. This day is meant to give children an opportunity to shadow their parents and get a glimpse into the working world. The national holiday was created in 1992 by feminist Gloria Steinem and focuses on inspiring young children to explore future job opportunities and emphasizing the importance of education.

The Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day holiday is organized by a non-profit educational foundation of the same name. The foundation aims to promote the day, which is designed to inspire and build a strong educational foundation for young children.

McInerney's video is an adorable reminder that the folks on your television do have lives outside of giving you the news, weather, or sports for any given day – and those lives may be a little closer than you ever realize.
