Maine Officials Identify Two Suspects in a Glenburn Shooting
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has released the names of two people arrested, in connection with the Glenburn incident:
George Overlock, 36, of Carmel, who was identified as the driver of the truck is charged with:
- Aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs
- Possession of firearms by a prohibited person
- Refusing to stop for a law enforcement officer
- Aggravated criminal mischief
- Violating conditions of release
- Criminal speed
- Driving to endanger
- Refusal to submit to arrest or detention
- Burglary
- Operating after habitual offender revocation
Raphael Cupidon, 22, of Massachusetts, was identified as one of the passengers in the truck. He's been charged with:
- Aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs
- Refusal to submit to arrest or detention.
Maine Authorities Say 2 of 3 Suspects in Glenburn Shooting Were Caught
The two men were allegedly involved in an incident on Danforth Drive in Glenburn Sunday afternoon that involved masked men shooting at a vehicle and at a home, while someone was inside the building. Eyewitnesses told authorities that there were several suspects, wearing ski masks, who fled the scene in a vehicle.
An ensuing pursuit of the suspects led to two of the three being apprehended, one of which entered an unoccupied residential home.
He was taken into custody, despite his attempts to resist arrest.
A large dog escaped from the home and, at the last report, had not been found.
Maine Law Enforcement Seize Drugs, Handguns from Bangor, Hampden Homes
As part of this investigation, two homes in Bangor and Hampden were searched and approximately half a kilo of various drugs and two handguns were seized from the residences.
The investigation is ongoing and deputies are still trying to locate others involved in the incident.
