Maine rising country star, Max Ater, is taking the next big step in his career. He's got Nashville dreams that are soon to become a reality.

Last fall, Max Ater released his debut EP Small Town. The five-track EP was a homegrown effort, teaming up with producer, Karl Anderson, at Anchour Studio in Windham to record his debut sounds. The pop-country record brilliantly combines modern musical influences, and traditional country lyrics that beg to be blasted cruising down backroads.

The southern Maine native now is ready to take the next big step in his musical career, Nashville. Ater says he'll be moving south for a few months to write, promote, and come back to Maine with plenty of material for a sophomore record.

Ater recently chatted with Q106.5's Paul Wolfe about his current EP and future endeavors. Hear the full interview below.
