In order to collect information to help the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the Maine Audubon is looking for fishermen (or women) to keep an eye out for wild Brook trout in remote ponds and coastal streams around the state.

The data collected will be used to conserve and manage the fish in the years to come. In recent years there has been a decline in brook trout population.

To sign up to volunteer, please contact Emily Bastian at (207) 781-2330 x207 or ebastian@maineaudubon.org. More information about the project is on their website.
