Local Woman Killed In Holden Accident

A Holden woman was killed when her car collided with another vehicle on Route 1A in Holden on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Cindy Puiia, 68, Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley told WABI.

The wreck occurred around 11 a.m. near Dysart's and the Brewer-Holden town line.

“One person may have been actually trying to cross the street with the car and the other car was coming in the other direction,” Greeley said to WABI. “So it’s maybe more of a t-bone then a head on from what I can tell.”

The accident remains under investigation. Greeley said it was not snowing at the time, and the weather was not a factor in the accident.

No other injuries were reported.
