Kimberly Schlapman’s Baby, Dolly, Meets the Legend She’s Named After
There were numerous highlights from Kenny Rogers' farewell concert in Nashville this week (Oct. 25), but one of the sweetest moments happened backstage. Dolly Parton got to meet Kimberly Schlapman's daughter, Dolly!
The Little Big Town member posted a precious photo of herself to Instagram holding baby Dolly Grace and the woman she's named after, with all three looking glamorous in ivory and champagne outfits, beaming at the camera.
"Dolly meets Dolly!!! @dollyparton thank you for lovin’ on my Dolly," Schlapman writes next to the beautiful snapshot, in which even little Dolly is flashing her biggest smile.

Schlapman and her husband, Stephen, adopted Dolly Grace in early 2017 through a domestic adoption agency. She's their second daughter and little sister to the couple's 8-year-old, Daisy.
"Dolly Parton, yes, has inspired my whole life. My husband is the one who thought of us naming her [Dolly] when we had hoped and prayed for this baby. This was my husband's idea. So, it's perfect. I love it," the LBT singer explains of how they chose a name for their baby.
Little Big Town are nominated for multiple awards at the 2017 CMA Awards, including one of the night's biggest, Album of the Year, for The Breaker. Their chart-topping single "Better Man" is also up for Song, Single and Music Video of the Year. They're set to embark on a 2018 headlining tour in support of the album, covering more than 20 cities from February through April, with more dates slated to be announced. Kacey Musgraves and Midland will join as opening acts.
