Authorities arrested multiple people in Hermon on Wednesday afternoon, in connection with a drug bust.

Officials say a large police presence was at a home on Crogan Road just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team, with the assistance of the K9 unit, Memphis, and members of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Homeland Security Investigators, and local EMS units, executed a search warrant at the place.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, authorities suspected there was illegal drug activity taking place in this particular home for several months and had finally received permission to take a look inside.

Deputies say almost half a kilo of meth, crack cocaine, and Fentanyl was discovered at the residence, and that several arrests were made shortly thereafter.

"Chad Langley, 33, of Hermon, was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs, Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs, and Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs.  Daquan Moore, 30, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs and Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs.  Shelly Perry (54) was also arrested on warrants for failing to appear."

Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton says his organization will continue to go after those who traffic drugs within the Pine Tree State, stating that "drug trafficking is not a victimless crime," and that Mainers are losing their lives each day due to illegal drug use and substance abuse.
