Man Arrested after Break In and Fleeing from Police in Maine
A 28-year-old man was arrested after breaking into a home and fleeing from police in Skowhegan.
Man Broke into Home and Fled from Police
Police said Lamont Flanders from Waterville is charged with burglary, refusing to submit to arrest and two counts of violation of the condition of release.
Homeowner Saw Break In on Security Camera
The homeowner saw Flanders breaking in on a security camera. The break in happened Saturday around 8:30 am on East River Road.
Man Used Screwdriver and Kicked Door Open
Flanders pried the door open with a screwdriver and kicked it in, said the Morning Sentinel.
Jumped Out Window and Ran from Police
Flanders jumped from a window when officers arrived on the scene. He fled on foot into the woods next to the Kennebec River.
K9 Tracked Suspect and Arrest Made
A K9 was called in and located Flanders. He was taken into custody and transported to the Somerset County Jail.
