
Graham Platner Voices Support for Striking Starbucks Workers
Amid the ongoing strike between Starbucks and the company’s workers' union, the Maine Senate candidate is voicing his opinion.
The oyster farmer, harbormaster, and military veteran from Maine has been outspoken about the changes he wants to see at both the local and national levels, never seeming to hesitate when it comes to making his opinions known.

On Friday morning, December 12th, Graham Platner took to his social media pages to voice his support for Starbucks Workers United.
Writing, “I’d be remiss if I didn’t say: NO CONTRACT, NO COFFEE,” he added that he stands in solidarity with the workers in their fight for a contract, urging Starbucks to stop stalling and start negotiating.

Starbucks Workers United launched a strike last month that has now grown to over 3,000 baristas in more than 100 U.S. cities.
The union is pushing for better pay, improved staffing, and action on hundreds of unfair labor practice claims. Starbucks said the strike affected fewer than 1% of its stores and had “no impact” on business, even as the union expands its efforts globally amid stalled negotiations.
