On Tuesday, November 4th, the day of the 46th vice president’s passing, Iraq War veteran Graham Platner took to social media to share a video reflecting on Dick Cheney’s legacy.

In the video, Platner said that while most take time to mourn when a vice president dies, he would not—citing the thousands of lives and trillions of dollars he believes were wasted during the Iraq War.

In his video, Platner went on to say that Cheney’s death should serve as a reminder to hold politicians accountable for their support of wars like Iraq.

He specifically called out figures such as Susan Collins, saying it’s time to build a politics that removes leaders who back what he described as ‘illegal foreign wars.’
