Golf Tourney in Memory of Hermon’s Allen Perley
The 1st Annual Golf Tournament in Memory of Allen Perley will take place at Hermon Meadow Golf Club 281 Billings Road in Hermon on Sunday the 19th beginning at 8:30 a.m. This tournament brought to you by Mainely Eyes and Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant.
A brief recap on Allen Perley’s life, although he deserve so much more than a brief recap. Allen passed away in July last year after a courageous battle with liver disease. He was much too young. Allen attended Hampden Academy, then Husson University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and then eared a Master’s in Business administration at the University of Maine.
Back when he was attending college Allen worked at Pizza Hut, and continued his climb up the management chain, eventually overseeing 7 stores in Eastern Maine. He had a 37 year career with Pizza Hut, and made many friendships along the way.
When younger Allen succeeded at sports. Even after a motorcycle accident paralyzed his right arm, he adapted and overcome challenges and developed a love for golf.
That’s why this tournament features the Allen Perley One Arm Putt. Everyone must putt holes 9 and 18 with only one arm on the putter. Either arm will do.
The expectation is that this tournament will fill up quickly, so don’t hesitate to register here
The memories of Allen Perley fill hearts everyday. This will be the first of hopefully many golf tournaments in Allen’s honor too.
