Looking for some nontraditional ways to lose weight?

This article has some ideas for you, and none of them require a gym membership or giving up your favorite food.

Things in this article I don't agree with:

Getting a dog may help you burn an additional 200 calories per week. But what about the increase in stress after its eaten your furniture, chewed up your best pair of shoes, and ruined the living room carpet (just to name a few)?!

Exercising at night. Sorry, but when I get home from work the last thing I want is to put more demands and expectations on myself. I need to relax and debrief, not give myself more things to do.

Sitting to eat a meal. I rarely sit when I eat. I don't have time to "just sit" ever, not even to consume a meal. I'm built to multi-task. Things need to get done and there aren't enough hours in the day.

Things in this article I DO agree with:

Brushing your teeth after dinner! After I've taken the time to brush, floss, use mouth wash, and scrub my retainers (not applicable to everyone), I'm not going to ruin it by eating something else and have to start all over.

Breaking up your meals. I don't like having big meals. I'd rather drag it out and enjoy it longer instead of having that heavy feeling in my stomach because I just ate a mountain. But that also goes back to me not sitting to eat. I like portable food, nothing that forces me to slow down.
