A man wanted on six outstanding warrants was arrested in Bangor Wednesday afternoon.

Edward Janak, 45, surrendered peacefully at a residence off Hammond Street in Bangor.

Janak was wanted after his probation was revoked on a conviction for aggravated drug trafficking. He also had multiple warrants for failure to appear in court for unlawful possession of drugs.

The arrest came after a two-week effort by the Maine State Police to locate Janak.

Police say Janak is a convicted felon who had 11 separate sets of bail conditions for prior arrests.
