He's 6'7".  And, yeah, a former college basketball player.  And he was going to be a Doctor.  He was accepted at Harvard for Pre Med, and was weeks away from starting school when he had a change of plans.

He had sung in bars for years and a few songs he'd written had been recorded by other singers.  What stopped him from going to Medical School was an offer of a publishing deal in Nashville.
