He told ABC News when he was writing the song with his co-writers,  He “ imagined driving down my favorite roads in his home state of Delaware”  The song was performed on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

It’s from the Bettie James EP, the one that features appearances from Darius Rucker, Tim McGraw, the late Charley Pride, and for this song with a guy he’s a huge admirer of.
