When she went into the writing session with the co-writers, she hoped to come out with a classic country heartbreak duet.  One of the co-writers was Luke Combs.  He sang the male part on the demo.  The demo was sent to Lee Brice, who recorded his part of the song, in his tour bus studio while on the road.  His first take he was told he was sounding like he was imitating Luke Combs, and was asked to put 'more Lee into it'.  He nailed it.

Vote Yea or Nay for Carly Pearce & Lee Brice 'I Hope You're Happy Now'.
