What Was Going on in Brewer, Maine This Evening?

As several Brewer residents sat in unusual standstill traffic on Wilson Street late Friday afternoon wondering what was going on, even more residents took to social media.

There was multiple fire departments spotted on scene on Wilson Street across from the local Dairy Queen. Departments on scene included Bangor Fire Department, Brewer Fire Department, and Edington Fire Department.

As it turns out, it was in fact a structure fire as reported by WABI. There were no injuries reported nor anyone living in the structure that caught on fire, and all departments worked together to put out the fire expeditiously.

WABI further reports that officials stated that the structure that was on fire was a detached garage, and fire departments were able to put out the flames a little before 5:30pm Friday night.

The Fire Marshal is on scene investigating exactly what sparked the fire this evening.
