Names of 2 People in a Fatal Rollover Crash in Lagrange Released
The identities of one person who was killed and another who survived a rollover crash in Lagrange have been released.
When Was This?
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported just after 9:30 Sunday morning on the Medford Road in Lagrange. When Sheriff's Deputies and members of the Lagrange Fire Department responded to the scene they found one person deceased and another who had escaped the crash.
How Did the Crash Happen?
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash indicate that the sedan was traveling on the Medford Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle on the snow and ice-packed roadway. The sedan overturned and landed in Cold Stream, which is a shallow waterway that runs under the road.
What Do We Know About the Occupants of the Vehicle?
Cold water rescue crews found a deceased person inside the vehicle and deputies located the second person who was able to extricate themselves from the crash.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has identified the deceased as Wendall Dunham, 58, of Milo. The second occupant who survived the crash is Wayne Weeks, 45, of Medford.
