Autumn Gold Days Celebration This Weekend in Ellsworth
This is gold.
Ellsworth Autumn Gold Days are here.
And what a transition it continues to be. It all started as a car show. In 1984.
And yes, the car show continues in 2023, as it has every year since the beginning. Now the 39th Annual Autumn Gold auto show is at the Home Depot parking lot and will host up to 200 classic cars on Saturday.
The car show starts with registration between 8 and 10 a.m., and awards at 1 p.m. Spectators get in free after parking on the field at the entrance to Home Depot.
Harbor Park hosts a kid's carnival and it’s free to attend between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This event will also host Scouts Troop 86 Ellsworth’s hamburgers and hot dogs sale.
Union River boat rides take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. thanks to local captains donating their boats and time.
Downtown has a sidewalk sale and many other events and activities for all. Wonderful sense of community when virtually each and every business participates in the fun and activities.
Ever been in Jail?
Kidding. Sort of. The Old Jail Museum Open House gives you a chance to explore the former County Sheriff’s residence and jailhouse on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where to begin?
Saturday morning between 7 and 10 a.m. is the Rotary Pancake Breakfast at the Ellsworth Middle School. Cost for adults is $9. Kids under 12 years old are $5.
Enjoy Ellsworth. See you there for Autumn Gold days. Complete event line up here.
