
Maine Woman With 20 Outstanding Warrants, Bail Conditions Arrested
An East Millinocket woman with 20 outstanding warrants and multiple bail conditions was arrested during a traffic stop.
Maine Woman Was Taken Into Custody During an I-95 Traffic Stop
Jade Simon, 36, of East Millinocket, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by East Millinocket Police when she was taken into custody.
E. Millinocket Police Stopped a Vehicle Containing Jade Simon for Speeding
On Sunday evening, Sergeant Clayton of the East Millinocket Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle on I-95 traveling more than 100 miles per hour. When Clayton caught up to the vehicle, it wasn't traveling at the same rate of speed, but was exceeding the posted speed limit.
Police have not released the driver's name or indicated whether that person was cited for speeding or other charges.
Maine Woman Had 20 Outstanding Warrants and 10 Sets of Bail Conditions
During the execution of the traffic stop, Sergeant Clayton identified the passenger as Jade Simon. A check of her record showed 20 outstanding warrants for her arrest, including 17 failure-to-appear warrants and 3 warrants for new criminal charges. East Millinocket Police say the following charges were included in the warrants:
- Violation of bail
- Theft
- Traffic-related criminal violations
- Burglary
- Drug charges
- Criminal trespass
- Failure to appear
- Failure to appear after being bailed
Simon was taken into custody on the 20 warrants, and officials learned she had 10 active sets of bail conditions.
She's currently being held at Penobscot County Jail.
