Delta Airlines to Temporarily Suspend Service out of BIA

Bangor International Airport officials say Delta Airlines will temporarily suspend service out of Bangor International Airport.

Airport officials told WABI-TV that it's not clear exactly when service will be interrupted. The U.S. Department of Transportation has given tentative approval to 15 airlines to temporarily halt services to 75 airports, where passenger numbers are down due to the pandemic. Delta is the one airline that has been flying out of BIA consistently since it was originally purchased from the federal government.

Delta Airlines will be contacting customers directly to help them make alternate travel arrangements.
