Another annual canoe race is coming up.

A date has been set for the annual running of the Souadabscook Stream Race. Known as the annual Eliot Lamb Memorial Canoe Race, the date is set for Saturday, April 9, 2022. Preregistration is now open. Race day registration will be available. Check in will be held at the put-in on Bog Road in Hampden.

Registration for the 2022 Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race is open. Paddlers can register online, or in person at the Bangor Parks & Recreation office. The race is set for next Saturday, April 16, 2022. This will the 55th running of the annual canoe race.

The 16.5-mile race begins in Kenduskeag Village and ends at the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor. The race typically attracts around 800-900 paddlers, and hundreds of spectators each year.
