Cross Insurance Center in Bangor to Go Cashless Beginning this Week
Starting this week, a Bangor venue will go cashless.
The Cross Insurance Center is the latest venue to go cashless. Announced on Wednesday, the venue says it will go cashless as of Friday, September 9. Payments at the venue will have to be made by debit or credit card. Apple Pay and Android Pay will also be accepted.
Those who wish to convert their cash can do so with a loadable card. According to the CIC, "The Cross Insurance Center will have a station with cards available to load cash onto (located a central location within the venue). This location will vary on depending on the show or event. These cards are good for purchases at concession stands within the venue."
The first cashless event will be a fight night with New England Fights. "NEF 49: Queen City Showdown" is set for Friday, September 9. Tickets are still available. Tickets can be purchased online or at the CIC box office.
The Cross Insurance Center will be hosting numerous concerts in the coming months, including:
- Ghost - September 13
- Greta Van Fleet - October 8
- Trippie Redd - October 15
- Parker McCollum - October 29
- Blue Oyster Cult - November 10
The move to cashless payments follows in the footsteps of Bangor's Waterfront venue. Back in May, Maine Savings Amphitheater announced the venue will go cashless.
