All expecting or new to the parenting-game folks, listen up!

The Franklin County Children's Task Force will be hosting their 2nd Annual Community Baby Shower on Saturday, May 20th from 1 to 3 pm at the Farmington Elks Lodge, located at 120 School St. in Farmington.

Last year’s undertaking was a resounding success, as more than 15 agencies contributed to providing a range of baby items for new parents and their little ones to cherish. This year's occasion guarantees to be even more entertaining, featuring amusing rubber duck-themed games, raffles for baskets overflowing with baby items, and treats to savor and bring home.

The organizers are still accepting raffle items for the event, so if you're interested in contributing, you can drop off new items such as diapers, bottles, clothes, strollers, and pack & plays at their office on 113 Church St. in Farmington.

The “Baby Shower Item Wish List” includes a variety of new items such as baby bottle sets, strollers, car seats, breastfeeding support items, books, safety items, self-care items for parents, baby bath care items, onesies, and more.

Additionally, the organizers are delighted to share that they have received numerous handmade baby quilts.

The Franklin County Children's Task Force is a private, not-for-profit corporation committed to strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect. Their mission is to mobilize community resources and advocate for and provide services that promote healthy children and families.

The Farmington Elks Lodge takes great pride in their commitment to supporting various community activities, including those for youth and veterans, and they are also pleased to provide rental space for special occasions.

So all new and expecting parents, keep May 20th in mind, and enjoy a fun, community-filled afternoon!
