When we are senior citizens, they will be in charge and running the world.

Wonder what their stance will be on the condition of our planet. Today’s youth have grown up with a focus on Earth all their lives that is different than how we came up.

With that in mind, what future leaders will look back to the 2022 Earth Day: Youth Climate Matters Fair and say “I remember that day. I was there.”

The Challenger Learning Center of Maine in Bangor and The Climate Initiative are partnering for the first time for this event. Earth Day: Youth Climate Matters Fair is Friday April 22nd, 2022.

And it’s free for any students in the 8th to 12th grade.

But you have to pre-register and there is a limit to the number of students they can enroll for the event.

There will be two sessions available. 9 am to Noon, and 1 pm to 4 pm.

Spots are limited and you must register by Monday the 18th.

All topics for Earth Day will be climate science related and include Wind Turbines, Climate Community Solutions and NASA Earth Science. And bonus, there will also be activities in Challenger’s mission control and space lab simulators.

Here is the link to sign up your 8th to 12th grader for one of the two sessions.

Challenger Learning Center of Maine is located at 30 Venture Way near the Bangor Airport.
