Bucksport Bay Festival Is This Weekend

The Bucksport Bay Festival starts today, with family fun activities planned all weekend.

It's the largest fundraiser for the Bucksport Bay Chamber of Commerce and offers something for everyone. Activities on Friday include a historical walking tour, the Bucksport Bay Festival Pageant, and the Pet Palooza.

Saturday starts with a pancake breakfast in the Marina parking lot, tours of a Maine Maritime navigation vessel, and the Happy Birthday Colonel Johnathan Buck Bayfest Parade, plus a lot more. There will be fun games for the kids, as well as boat rides, and a brewfest for the adults. Motor Booty Affair will also be on stage Saturday evening before the fireworks.

Orrington's Endless Yard Sale is also going on this weekend, so you might find a few treasures on your way to or from the festival. Remember to watch for bargain hunters as you pass through town.
