Is Buc-ee’s Heading to Maine? 14 New Locations Announced
One of the most popular convenience stores in America has recently announced expansion plans—but do those plans include Maine?
Expansion is always exciting—there’s just something hopeful about hearing a business is adding locations, especially in a time when layoffs and downsizing feel more common than ever in 2025. It’s a refreshing reminder that growth is still possible.
Well, having said all that, for those who have never heard of Buc-ee’s: what’s the big deal, and why do people go crazy for it?
For those who’ve never heard of Buc-ee’s, it’s not just a gas station—it’s a roadside phenomenon with a cult-like following. People go crazy for their famously clean bathrooms, massive snack selection, and especially their beloved brisket sandwiches, but to this point, Buc-ee’s hasn’t expanded up to Vacationland.

Okay, with that cleared up, which 14 cities is Buc-ee’s expanding into in 2025, and are any of the announced locations in our Pine Tree State?
As reported by FinanceBuzz, Buc-ee’s expansion plans do include moving north and east—just not necessarily as far north and east as we’d like here in Maine. The following cities are slated to get Buc-ee’s locations in 2025:
- Pass Christian, Mississippi
- Rockingham County, Virginia
- Ocala, Florida
- Brunswick, Georgia
- Gallaway, Tennessee
- Oak Grove, Kentucky
- Fort Pierce, Florida
- Goodyear, Arizona
- Ruston, Louisiana
- Benton, Arkansas
- Huber Heights, Ohio
- Boerne, Texas
- Mebane, North Carolina
- Oak Creek, Wisconsin

So, unfortunately, no—Maine isn’t part of Buc-ee’s current expansion plans. But it looks like we’re getting slightly closer, with new spots opening in Virginia. Like we said... slightly closer.
