Two men face charges in a credit-card skimming operation discovered earlier this week in Brewer.

Julio Cesar Senado Garcia, 33, of Houston, Texas faces charges of Falsifying Physical Evidence License, Possession or Transfer of Burglars Tools, and Aggravated Invasion of Computer Privacy.

Luis Gustavo Diaz, 32 of Miami, Fl, faces charges of Operating Without a License, Possession or Transfer of Burglars Tools and Aggravated Invasion of Computer Privacy.

The operation was discovered on Dec. 4 at 2:24 a.m., when police stopped a suspicious vehicle leaving a closed gas station on Wilson Street in Brewer.

The responding officers made numerous observations of suspicious activity including signs of tampering at the gas pumps as well as tools and electronic devices in the possession of the driver and his passenger, according to police. The officers were able to conclude that the two individuals in the car were actively involved in a “card skimming” operation and placed both suspects under arrest.

The investigation is still ongoing.
