Brewer Police have a suspect in custody after a robbery Tuesday afternoon on Wilson Street.

The robbery happened at around 4:00 at the Bangor Savings Bank location in the Brewer Shopping Center. Bank employees told police that the suspect had threatened them, claiming he had a firearm and demanded money. He fled the scene before police arrived, but they got his description from the bank employees.

A short time later, police located a man matching the description at a local hotel. After questioning him, police took Timothy Larabee, 51, of Brewer into custody and charged him with class B robbery, as well as violation of conditions of release.
