Challenger Learning Center of Maine will host a free event welcoming all family and friends to attend to celebrate the historic return launch to the moon.

The event is at Challenger Learning Center in Bangor and is from 8 to 10 a.m.

The actual launch is at 8:30 Monday morning, so don’t be late. The event is free, but pre-registration is preferred. Here’s where to get signed up

If you have a student from grades K to 6, you are encouraged to make it a date. This is not a drop off event, but for the whole family.

Maybe you and the kiddos can where NASA gear, or a NASA costumes.  Or maybe just something patriotic or red, white and blue to celebrate this historic launch.

Artemis 1 is the first integrated test of deep space exploration systems, and will launch from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

This will be the first mission that will lead to landing the first woman and the first person of color on the surface of the moon.

And you can witness it in a great setting.
