Bangor Police have released the identify of a motorcycle rider who was killed last week in a collision with a tractor trailer.

Joshua Tidwell, 41, of Old Town, was the operator of the motorcycle killed in the crash that happened Friday afternoon in Bangor.

Police were called to the intersection of Burleigh and Bomarc Roads at around 4:00 that afternoon for a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor trailer. The details of the crash have not been released as the investigation is ongoing.

Bangor Officials Say the Truckdriver From the Fatal Motorcycle Crash is Cooperating

Bangor officials say the truckdriver is cooperating with the investigation  and no charges have been filed. The driver's name has not been released.

That intersection was closed to traffic for several hours, as the police worked to reconstruct the crash.
