A jackknifed tractor trailer has stopped traffic on I-95 northbound in Bangor this morning.

UPDATE: Police say traffic should be moving again by 8:00.

Maine State Police say that, as of 7:00 this morning, no traffic was able to get through on I-95. Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the truck jackknifed near the Kenduskeag Stream, on the stretch of highway between the Union Street and Broadway exits. The driver wasn't injured and a wrecker was called to remove the truck.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area until the scene can be cleared. The interstate is slippery this morning, so police say motorists need to take it slow. Police in Southern Maine are dealing with a similar situation, this morning. A tractor trailer has rolled over on the interstate in Wells, which also has traffic at a standstill.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
