Downtown Bangor, Brewer Outdoor Dining Guide
Now that we are into April, soon it will be time to get back to the great tradition of eating outside at one of Downtown Bangor or Brewer's many restaurants/bars with outdoor seating.
Here are some places to begin ... alphabetically.
Blaze sign says it all: Craft Beer and Wood-Fired Flavor. How about a Ribeye or filet mignon? Or a burger? Blaze is located at 18 Broad Street in Bangor.
Carolina Sports and Spirits
Carolina Sports and Spirits Bar & Grill is the full name, which says it all. There's entertainment too, plus this newly revamped outdoor seating area. Carolina Sports and Spirits is located at 16 Union Street in Bangor.
What to order at Dabestas? First, it’s lunch only. And Monday to Friday, no weekends. But when it comes to what to order, uh, um, let’s see, maybe out on a limb here, but how about, uh, a slice of pizza? And if you don’t want to order a slice of pizza, how about ordering two slices of pizza? Dabesta is located at 216 Thatcher Street in Bangor.
Evenrood's is known for steak, fish, pasta and the side dishes that complement the main dish. Evenrood's is located at 25 Broad Street in Bangor.
The Grind House
The Grind House is open for breakfast and lunch, and yes you can sit outside. The Grind House is located at 1 Central Street in Bangor.
High Tide is known for its seafood. On the east bank of the Penobscot River, it has a great view of Bangor. High Tide is located at 5 South Main Street in Brewer.
Ipanema Bar & Grill
Ipanema Bar & Grill is on Broad Street, and has outside seating with an interesting menu. Ipanema is located at 10 Broad Street in Bangor.
Mason's Brewing Company
This is Mason's patio. Outside is a great setting, if you’ve never been here you’ll enjoy being on the Penobscot with a great view of Bangor. Mason's is located at 15 Hardy Street in Brewer.
McLaughlin's, with the outside tables to the left of this photo. How about lobster, oysters, clams, mussels. Anything seafood. Or maybe some chowder? McLaughlin's is located at 728 Main Street in Bangor.
Paddy Murphy’s patio is right around the corner. With a name like that, how about the patty melt with onion rings? And another beer.
Sea Dog Brewing Company
Sea Dog has an outdoor patio on the second floor with burgers and entrees, but don’t overlook the salads.
Timber Kitchen and Bar
At Timber, the igloos go away soon, and back comes the outdoor patio. FYI, if you’re looking for a unique experience and haven’t eaten in an igloo, go for it. Same menu, and total privacy.
Two Feet Brewing and Restuarant
We expect that Two Feet will have either the outside parking spot tables, or tables on the sidewalk, so they qualify for outdoor places to eat.
No matter where you go, enjoy and here is hoping you appreciate eating outside in the fresh air this summer.
