On her 6th birthday, Ava Burke decided that she didn't need anything, and in lieu of gifts, asked for everyone to donate new backpacks for children in Maine whose families may need a little assistance. Ms. Burke is about to turn 13, and for the 7th YEAR IN A ROW is helping her community once again by collecting backpacks for the "We've Got Your Back Program" through Penquis.

She's not only helping her community but inspiring her community to get involved as well. So many local businesses have already generously supported Ava's cause.

Every year, Ms. Burke has increased her goal of new backpacks collected that she would like to achieve. This year, she has raised the bar to 1000 backpacks and has already reached 779!

So, Are You Wondering How to Help Ava Collect New Backpacks for Underprivileged Children in Maine?

Ms. Burke and her father were extremely kind enough to stop by the Q106.5 studios Monday morning to hang with David and Cindy and to share how we can help her reach her 7th year goal of 1000 new backpacks. The most convenient method would be to VENMO Ava to @Ava-Gives-Back-24.
