Anyone in Contact w/Houlton Ambulance Should Get Tested for COVID
The Maine CDC is urging anyone who has recently been in contact with members of the Houlton Ambulance crew to get tested for COVID-19.
The latest numbers reveal 9 people in the Houlton region who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including several members of the Houlton Ambulance Service, and a non-symptomatic patient they transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. The other cases involve family members/people who have close daily contact with the ambulance crew.
In response to the outbreak, Houlton Regional Hospital is offering free, drive-up Coronavirus testing. The CDC recommends that anyone who thinks they've had contact with a member of the ambulance crew, dating back to June 8th, should get tested immediately, to help stop the spread of the virus.
They do ask that you call to pre-register for your test at 207-532-2900 and wear a face covering when you show up.
