A candlelight vigil is planned for this evening in memory of a Rockport woman whose son is accused of killing her.

WABI-TV reports the vigil will honor Buffy Krause who died last Friday in Massachusetts. Her 22-year-old son, Orion Krause, is charged with four counts of murder for the beating deaths of Krause, her elderly parents, and their caregiver at the grandparents' home in the town of Groton. Krause is being held at a mental health facility and has been ordered to undergo an exam to determine if he's competent to stand trial.

Police say Orion drove to Massachusetts on Thursday night and had made some comments that concerned his mother enough that she called police. He then called his mother on Friday and asked her to drive to Massachusetts and give him a ride home. On their way back to Maine, the pair took a detour to visit Orion's grandparents. There's no word on a motive for the murders, but a neighbor of the elderly couple said Krause showed up on his doorstep, naked and covered in mud, telling the man that he had killed four people.

The vigil will begin at 6:30 this evening on Beech Hill in Rockport. Krause and his mother lived in Rockport.
