Sure, school just got back in session. Sure, it's not even officially Fall yet. And I admit - it drives me crazy when department stores start setting up Christmas displays 3 months before the holiday. So when is it appropriate to start decorating for Halloween?

I love, love, love Halloween and Fall. October is my favorite month. It's an annual tradition at my house to get the kids Halloween pajamas and festive shirts in the beginning of September so they can enjoy wearing them for 2 full months instead of just 4 weeks (and so I can get my money's worth). I sent these pictures of the kids to friends and family last night. One reply back said, "Cute, but it's not Halloween".

Truly, if we have time this weekend I'll let the kids start decorating the house for Halloween (again, so we can enjoy our holiday decor longer and the hard work it took to put it all up). And if my daughter can ever decide on ONE costume we'll go ahead and get those ordered soon, too.

Life is what you make it. These are the memories the kids will reflect on and cherish when they're older.

* Side note - If Shipyard has their Pumpkinhead Ale in stores already then I can decorate my house for Halloween and no one is allowed to say "BOO" about it! *
