I've never hidden my faith from those that know me or from anyone for that matter. For as long as I can remember I've always believed in Christ and the eternal life in heaven promised by confessing his Lordship and resurrection. My point being is that I enjoy the Christmas season for what it is meant to be: the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The term 'happy holidays' that's thrown around ad nauseum this time of the year just doesn't cut it for me. Don't get me wrong, I've said it before and probably will again, but its impact is weak at best. I mean, what are we celebrating when we say happy holidays? Are we saying I'm happy to be draining my bank account in hopes of making you happier?

Now there's the controversy of the tree that was erected in downtown Bangor..is it a holiday tree or Christmas tree?

When I stumbled upon a Facebook posting of a flash mob singing 'Christ centered' Christmas songs at a crowded major mall, I thought to myself, "Now that explains the difference." Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer will have to take a back seat on this one.

Go ahead and watch the whole video. The singers are awesome. The ending is perfect.

And as always, Merry Christmas!

"...and every knee shall bow."
