I'll be honest with you, ever since I got the news about the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting I haven't felt right. I have a great deal of empathy for the parents that lost their precious babies in such a horrible way. I can scarcely look at the pictures of those little faces whose lives were ended so tragically without getting all choked up. And having lost a teenage son suddenly many years ago I can certainly relate to the pain those parents feel today, and will for years to come.

CBS News Correspondent, Steve Hartman, is one of my favorite journalists of all time. His stories about real people in a segment called, 'Assignment America,' are always heartfelt.
