Thursday was "Truck Day" in Boston. The Red Sox equipment truck was loaded up before making the 1,480-mile trip to spring training in Fort Myers, Florida.

Thousands of fans lined up outside Fenway Park to send-off the truck, which included 20,400 baseballs, 1,100 bats, 400 pairs of socks and 60 cases of sunflower seeds.

Red Sox "Truck Day" is a sign that spring is right around the corner. Red Sox pitchers and catchers report on February 20th. The team will play their first two spring training games on March 3rd vs. Boston College and Northeastern.
