The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots visited President Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday.

The President had high praise for the Patriots.

"The Patriots organization is as good as an organization as there's ever been in professional sports," President Obama said. "That's a testament to outstanding ownership. It's a testament to a hall of fame coach."

The President was presented with a game ball, a No. 44 Obama Patriots jersey and a Patriots helmet signed by the entire team.

Among those not in attendance was Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who had a family commitment, according to the team.
